Cheltenham Racecourse offers plenty of on-site car parking, available for all our conferences and events, as well as at our 16 racedays.
Car parking is FREE, apart from the following racedays:
- The November Meeting Saturday
- The Cheltenham Festival in March
The parking scheme is colour coded to your parking zone which will match our label, view the individual route maps per colour below (if you have not purchased a label in advance, please follow the Public or Green signs)

By Train
The nearest train station is Cheltenham Spa. There is a bus service for Cheltenham racecourse from Cheltenham Spa Railway Station on racedays.
By Air
Birmingham Airport is approximately 48 miles from the racecourse. Bristol Airport is approximately 54 miles from the racecourse.
We are pleased to welcome arrivals on racedays by helicopter. All visiting aircrafts must pre-book landings with our partners, find out more here.
Air Charter Service (ACS) provides helicopter charters to Cheltenham Festival sourcing the right helicopter to suit your requirements.
By Coach, Minibus or Limousine
The November Meeting Saturday & Cheltenham Festival
Follow the coach symbol signs and these will direct you to the closest coach park from your direction of travel.
Minibuses & Coaches of 16 seats or more and Limousines will need to purchase a PCV Parking Pass online or by contacting our team on 0344 5793003.
The PCV Parking Pass must be displayed in the vehicle windscreen on the day of the event.
Coach drivers are entitled to a complimentary ticket to attend the races but are required to show valid ID/job card to confirm working. This can be collected from the North or Centaur Entrance on the day of the event.
There is no inbound access to the coach parks for coaches at Cheltenham Festival between 15:30 and 19:00.
All Other Racing Dates at Cheltenham
Follow the coach symbol signs which will direct you to the closest coach park from your direction of travel. Please follow the coach symbol no matter what colour pass the passengers may have purchased.
If you're dropping off a coach of racegoers, please make sure you've viewed the coach parking map.
Limousines and Minibuses with 15 seats or less will need to purchase a public car parking pass. Please note - There is no car parking permit to purchase other than Cheltenham Festival week and November Saturday.
Coaches with 16 seats or more are free of charge.
