Wincanton Venue Hire FAQs

Wincanton is a unique conferencing and events venue in the heart of Somerset. The racecourse has a wide range of facilities from small breakout rooms to large conference rooms seating up to 400.

Wincanton is also ideal for team building, corporate events, product launches, seminars, trade fairs, business exhibitions and wedding fairs.

We have half-day rates from £15 +VAT per delegate which includes two rounds of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Wincanton Racecourse is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and has held numerous wedding receptions. Wincanton Racecourse can offer the choice of three reception rooms, each with their own bar and spectacular view providing excellent photo opportunities.

Exclusive use of the venue for the full hire period. The full operational support from our events team in the run-up to your event and one of our event managers to co-ordinate and deliver your event on the day.

If the event is cancelled within 14 days of the event the full hire fee will be required.

Guests are not permitted to bring in their own caterers. The racecourse has its own top class, in-house catering team who will look after all the food and drink for your special event.

Wincanton Racecourse offers numerous options for catering along with venue hire and can cater for all your unique needs or requirement.

We cannot permit alcohol to be brought on site. However, our in-house catering team can provide a wide variety of alcoholic beverages catering to all your requirements.

Musicians, photographers and entertainers are welcome at Wincanton Racecourse, but they must be fully licensed and insured with PAT tested electronic equipment. We do not permit any naked flames or pyrotechnics.

Delivery and set up can take place before an event or on the morning of an event.

Any electrical equipment brought on site must be safe and fully PAT Tested.

Wincanton Racecourse hosts a number of balls and discos throughout the year with plenty of opportunity for dancing.

No – smoking is only permitted outside the venue.

There is ample free parking at the racecourse for both large and small events.

All the facilities at Wincanton have disabled access.

The racecourse covers almost 160 acres so there is plenty of space for outdoor events.
