GOLF COURSE UPDATE
We are pleased to announce that Wincanton Golf Club will remain open for at least a further 12 months before we review its status once again.
This is a fresh start for the Golf Course, and it will now be managed entirely by the racecourse, therefore we would like to ask our members for patience and support as we transition into this new phase. While the costs of running this venue are still high, we understand that the Golf Course is incredibly valued by our local community which is of huge importance to our team, so we hope that this decision reflects that. We look forward to working closely with those who regularly use the facility and thank everyone for their support to ensure this Golf course can thrive in the long term. Memberships will be on sale from 1st February 2024, with pay and play also available.
How the course will be managed
The Golf Course will now be managed by The Jockey Club and Wincanton Racecourse team, this includes the Groundstaff, the marketing team, and the membership management. This will allow the racecourse to have more control of the venue, however, we ask that our loyal members and community are patient with the team as we adjust and take on this new challenge.
Next Steps
A further review will take place in 12 months to reflect on the impact that these changes have had on the Golf Centre, and whether it is viable for us to continue in this manner. In order for the golf Centre to thrive, we are asking for support and patience from the local community.
Memberships will be available to purchase from 1st February 2024, with pay and play also available.
