Are you new to Warwick Racecourse? Or have you not attended a day at the races before?

  • The "Horses for Courses" tour at Warwick Racecourse offers a unique experience for racegoers. This tour allows you to explore behind the scenes with a local racing expert, who will guide you through Warwick Racecourse’s colourful history as well what to expect on your day at the races.
  • The ‘Horses for Courses’ tour includes exclusive insights into the racing facilities, including a closer look at the parade and pre-parade rings, where horses are prepared for the race. The experience is perfect for those wanting to deepen their understanding of horse racing and Warwick Racecourse.
  • The tour is available on all our race days throughout the season and starts an hour before the first race begins. Tickets are available to book with general admission but are limited to 20 guests so we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

Closer look at the parade and pre-parade rings

One hour before the first race, you will receive a guided tour starting from outside the main office making your way to the upper levels of the grandstand, discussing all things historic along the way. You will then be taken through the main enclosure to the centre of the parade ring to find out about the pre-racing rituals that take place in the preparation boxes and pre-parade ring.

Following this, you will make your way down to the last fence and can examine the ground, the construction of the fences and ask any questions you may have about the conditions on the day.

Your ‘Horses for Courses’ Tour will conclude with a discussion with your guide about the race schedule for the day along with any runners than may be worth having a flutter on.

The Horses for Courses Tour includes your main enclosure admission ticket for only £5 more than your single admission ticket. You can purchase your ‘Horses for Courses’ Tour in advance on any of our racedays throughout the season but do be quick as there are a limited number of spaces for each tour!

Where to meet: Please meet outside the main racecourse office one hour prior to the first race.

What to wear: Part of the tour may involve going on to the track so we advise you to wear sensible shoes.
