JonBack – Jonbon Jumps His Rivals Into Submission in the Melling Chase

Jonbon proved yet again why he is one of the sport’s true superstars, claiming his 10th Grade One victory in dominant fashion in the My Pension Expert Melling Chase. The Nicky Henderson-trained nine-year-old bounced back with a flawless front-running display, making all the running and sealing victory by over three lengths. With his fourth consecutive success at The Randox Grand National Festival, Jonbon reaffirmed his love for Aintree, leaving fans and connections in awe.

Winning jockey Nico de Boinville praised Jonbon’s tenacity and jumping ability, calling him an “absolute superstar.” Trainer Nicky Henderson hailed the performance as proof of Jonbon’s love for the big occasion: “That was some gallop. Not many horses can jump that well that fast.

Majestic Jumping from Potter – Caldwell Potter Continues His Resurgence

Caldwell Potter delivered another sensational performance, following up his Cheltenham Festival success with a first Grade One triumph in the Huyton Asphalt Franny Blennerhassett Memorial Mildmay Novices’ Chase. Under a masterful ride from Harry Cobden, the grey gelding made virtually all the running, holding off Irish raider Jordans to claim victory by a length and a quarter.

Trainer Paul Nicholls was full of praise for his charge: “He jumped brilliantly and has taken a huge step forward since Windsor. He’s a super horse, and there’s so much more to come from him.” Part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, Caldwell Potter’s journey looks set to be an exciting one, with major targets like the Betfair Chase now on the horizon.

That Was a Work of Art – Salvator Mundi Shines for Willie Mullins

The ever-dominant Willie Mullins continued his stellar Randox Grand National Festival campaign, securing his fifth Grade One victory of the meeting as Salvator Mundi stormed to success in the Trustatrader Top Novices’ Hurdle. The five-year-old produced a commanding performance, surging clear in the closing stages to win by seven lengths in the famous yellow silks of Joe and Marie Donnelly.

Mullins was delighted with the performance: “His work at home has been very good. We changed tactics today, and it paid off.” Jockey Paul Townend echoed the sentiment, describing the performance as a true reflection of the horse’s ability: “He was back to himself here. Fast ground suited him.”

With Salvator Mundi now firmly on the rise, it looks like there are many more big days ahead for this talented performer.

Off the track winners stole the show

This year's Style Awards was one to remember with over £10,000 worth of prizes on offer. Our Style Judges chose this year’s wonderful winners and awarded them their prizes.

Katie Morris, 22, from St Helens, stunned in a chic dress from Baby Boo, paired with a stylish hat from Vinted and elegant River Island heels.

Lucas Nurney, 23, from Barnsley, impressed with a sleek, modern look entirely sourced from ASOS, proving that online shopping can be a treasure trove for fashion enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, Rachel Ellis, 53, from Andover, Hampshire, embodied sustainable fashion with a Nobody’s Child dress made from recycled fabric, a Lulu Guinness bag, and a sentimental hat she had crafted three years ago for her niece, adorned with vintage flowers and borrowed for the event.
