Jeremy Bradbeer will succeed Richard Pilkington as the new Chair of Nottingham Racecourse, The Jockey Club announces today.
The news comes following formal ratification of the appointment at a Nottingham Racecourse Committee meeting yesterday, 14th November. The appointment will take effect from 1st January 2023.
A solicitor and legal recruitment expert with clients across the UK and Europe, Jeremy Bradbeer has sat on the Committee at Nottingham Racecourse since 1st January 2022 and at Market Rasen Racecourse since 2017. He has also acted as a Stewards Panel Chair for the British Horseracing Authority.
Jeremy Bradbeer said: “I’m delighted to be taking over as Chair of Nottingham and very much look forward to working with my colleagues on the Committee as well as James Wilcox and his hard-working executive team.
“Nottingham hosts some fantastic racing as well as being a popular venue for local racegoers and there are exciting times ahead as we look to continue the progress made at the racecourse in recent years in 2023 and beyond.”
Richard Pilkington said: “I’ve enjoyed my tenure as Chair immensely and have been privileged to see some of the stars of the turf begin their careers at Nottingham in that time.
“I would like to thank the Committee and James and his team for continuing to deliver first class sport and non-raceday events and wish Jeremy the very best of luck as he takes up his post next year.”
