The Henry Cecil Open Weekend is looking forward to welcoming visitors to British horseracing’s headquarters on Saturday 21st September 2024.
Access and tours to some of Newmarket’s finest equine establishments are available on Saturday 21st September, including the British Racing School, the Injured Jockeys Fund fitness and rehabilitation centre - Peter O’Sullevan House, Jockey Club Rooms, Godolphin Rehoming and Rossdales Equine Hospital. Visitors can also meet the resident mares and stallions at The National Stud.
General admission to the National Horseracing Museum (NHRM) costs £5 per day during the Henry Cecil Open Weekend when you show your Open Weekend wristband. This includes entrance to the museum, behind the scenes tours, access to the special exhibitions, meeting the retired racehorses and a ride on the racehorse simulator.
Many famous champions have been purchased in the Tattersalls sales ring and visitors have the chance to enter the famous sales auditorium at 11:30am on Saturday for the ‘Tattersalls Talk’ with a top international bloodstock agent to explain the sales process and give a fascinating insight into the bloodstock industry.

Racing at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse also takes place on Saturday 21st September featuring the Cesarewitch Trial. This meeting forms part of Autumn Racing at Newmarket Racecourse when Newmarket truly becomes the hub for global flat racing.
Please note your Henry Cecil Open Weekend ticket does not grant access to Newmarket Racecourse but joint HCOW and racing tickets are available to purchase.
