Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park Terms and Conditions 2025

Your safety and welfare are extremely important to us and with that, various alterations have been made to our Terms and Conditions to ensure best operating practise, cleaning and safety protocols are in place during your stay.


Please help us by playing your part in adhering to our T&C’s which will, in turn, protect yourselves, our team and the wider community.

 

Site Restrictions:


• You will be issued with a barrier fob and toilet key for your use during your stay. These need to be either handed in or put in the green post box on the side of the office wall on departure. If these get lost, we will unfortunately need to charge £5 per item to replace them. Please do not use the fob to let anyone unknown to yourself onto the site for security reasons. If you do not know them advise them to see Sarah and leave their vehicle at the barrier

• Throughout your stay you may walk around the racecourse track path. Please head towards the Victor Lucas bar and use the sand crossing to access the path. The management just ask that you do not walk around the buildings or stables these at any time thank you. Dogs may be walked in the carparks opposite the Racecourse. Access to the children’s play area is granted. Children are not to be left unsupervised at any time.

• Day visitors are permitted on site, however please let Sarah know if you are having day visitors and she will advise you where they need to park.

• Children must always be accompanied by an adult this includes in the facilities and on walks. Children must not wander around the park without adult supervision.

• All Dogs to always be on a lead

• If you have ordered an external take-away delivery you must meet them at the park entrance.

• Electricity Hook-Up: The maximum loading on each caravan hook up is 16 amps. If the electricity is tripping off: Check, what have you turned on in your caravan. If any problems occur, please carry out the following checks: You may be overloading your trip or one of your electrical appliances is faulty. Turn off & unplug your vehicle and all appliances. Check which appliance is the cause. If you have carried out all these checks and there is still no power, please contact the park warden.


Emergency:


• In the event of a fire, the fire assembly point for the Caravan Park is located on the grass area to the left of the shower block. In the event of an emergency dial 999 for the emergency services and notify the park warden immediately.
• If minor medical assistance is required, Sarah Brighton – Warden is First Aid trained along with several of the Racecourse Office team. Please seek assistance by calling 01673 842307. For major incidents dial 999 immediately then alert of member of the park or Racecourse Team for assistance.

 

Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park Rules:


• Arrivals from 12 noon, late arrival fees apply for arrivals after 6pm. Departure time is 11am. Arrivals after 7pm March and October will not be allowed

• Dog walkers, please be respectful of other users and keep your dog under control. ALL Dogs must always be on a lead on the park, no longer than 1.5 meters and not left to run loose. Please always ensure dog mess is collected and disposed of appropriately into the general waste bin. Please do not walk your dogs in between caravans/ motorhomes.

• No electrical heating appliances i.e., fan /halogen heaters of any kind are to be used outside of your vehicle. Use within an awning is NOT permitted no exceptions!

• Absolutely no charging of electric vehicles there is a charging point at Market Rasen Tesco

• Open fires/Campfires are not permitted. Charcoal BBQs only accepted if you have a water bucket whilst BBQ in use AND wetted down immediately after cooking. We have a small supply of bricks as these need to be off the grass.

• Generators/ Pressure washers are not permitted.

• Ensure that your pitch is kept clean, tidy and free of rubbish. All litter/rubbish must be placed in bin area. Airers to be removed when not in use. Whilst we have no objection to most flags, we do ask for them to be lowered at night, as they can disturb others

• Ball games, cycling, scooters etc. to be used only in the racecourse play area, not on the site.

• No loud music/ noise etc that interferes with others enjoyment of the park at any time day or night. While we don’t object to flags, we do ask that they are lowered at night so not to disturb others on site please.

• Units (caravan or motorhome) must be roadworthy and be in an acceptable condition in the opinion of management.

• No construction of any sort is to be undertaken on the pitch.

• Only one vehicle per pitch, Sarah will advise where to park any extra vehicles. Please do not park on another pitch.

• Noise must be always kept to a minimum. This also includes dogs. Quiet time on the park is from 11 pm.

• Waste disposal from chemical toilets must be emptied in waste disposal area at side of toilet block.

• Any behaviour deemed to be a nuisance or anti-social by the management will not be tolerated and Management reserve the right to admission and eviction.

• ABUSIVE OR AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR TOWARD SITE STAFF OR OTHER GUESTS will result in immediate eviction form the park with no refund and police intervention if deemed necessary.

 

Waste and Rubbish:


• The wastewater and Eslam point are behind the white wall, where the trellis is.
• General waste is the black lid wheelie bin.
• Recycling is the red lid, if you could break down any boxes that would be great thanks.
• Glass bottles can be placed in the black wheelie bins behind the trellis. Can you make sure these are not broken please, as Sarah has to empty this by hand!


Caravans & Vehicles Rules:


• The speed limit on the park is 5mph.

• No commercial / sign written vehicles are permitted on site as the park is a touring caravan park, we cannot accommodate those using caravans for residential or employment purposes.

• All vehicles must conform to the Road Traffic Act and have current tax, MOT, and insurance. The provisions of the Highway Code apply to the roads on the park.

• Only 1 vehicle can be parked on your pitch. All other vehicles including trailers and boats, unless agreed with the site wardens will be offered alternative parking.
General:
• Local events and information leaflets are in the office or visit https://www.visitlincolnshire.com/

• Your experience is important to us! Good or bad we want to hear from you. If you experience any concerns whilst onsite, please do let a member of the team know so we can try to resolve problems during your stay. Reviews can be made after departure.

 

Data Protection:


All the information taken at the time of booking is collected for the purpose of processing your booking. If you do not wish to hear from Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park regarding offers and availability, please do let our Caravan Warden know. As part of our ongoing monitoring and to help us improve the services we provide, we may disclose your data to Camp Stead Ltd who may contact you inviting you to complete a questionnaire regarding your stay at our park.


Rules & Regulations:


The person completing the booking is responsible for the conduct of their party. It is your responsibility to read the rules & regulations and abide by the rules therein. Not reading the rules is not an excuse for infringement. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking without refund.
Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park reserves the right to exclude individuals from future use of the park.


Liability:


Anyone defacing or causing damage to any buildings, equipment or property of the park faces immediate eviction and prosecution. The pitch hirer will be responsible for and charged for any damage /loss caused by themselves or their visitors to the pitch or to any park facility or other resident’s property. Your personal belongings, vehicles, vans and their accessories and contents are left at your own risk. Market Rasen Racecourse or its staff will not be liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any property nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person in the park. Customers must ensure that their property is secured and fully insured for any unforeseen eventuality.


Please note our guidelines will evolve and change dependant on new regulations, government guidance and best practise.
