Introducing our official Horses for Courses Ambassador…Hally’s Kitchen!

Hally’s Kitchen retired in 2022 following an unsuccessful National Hunt career while in training with Justin Landy, she ran nine times under rules and once in a point-to-point without troubling the judge. She is now owned by Samantha Hunt and is excelling in the show ring! Hally (as she is known at home) has competed in several high-profile shows including the RoR finals at Hickstead and in an SEIB Racehorse to Riding Horse qualifier at Burghley Horse Trials.

Alice Cosgrove, Clerk of the Course at Market Rasen Racecourse “We are delighted to be partnering with Hally’s Kitchen as our official Horses for Courses Ambassador. Hally demonstrates exactly what makes the thoroughbred so special, having built a flourishing second career with her owner Sammy. Whilst she may not have been the fastest racehorse under rules, it’s fantastic to see her excelling in the show ring and on some of the very biggest stages. We are very excited to be able to follow Hally & Sammy’s journey together over the coming year and we look forward to welcoming them to select racedays throughout 2025.”

Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is British Racing’s official charity for the welfare of horses that have retired from racing. The charity officer’s education for owners, establishes retraining practices and promotes the versality of former racehorses in competitions across various disciplines.

The Horses for Courses scheme, supported by Godolphin, showcases the wide range of disciplines that racehorses go on to enjoy after their racing careers have ended , providing racegoers with an ongoing opportunity to meet and learn more about racing’s biggest stars – the horse!
