2018 Super Sundays begin at Lincolnshire racecourse

Article 12th February 2018 Market Rasen

The first of five ‘Super Sundays’ during 2018 at Market Rasen Racecourse is this weekend
The family days out – when all accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge – are held between now and August, on 18th February, 11th March, 20th May, 8th July and 5th August. As well as the horse racing to watch, there are free pony rides and face painting.

All three enclosures at the racecourse – County, Tattersalls and Lawn – will be open, offering visitors a choice of where to watch the races and enjoy refreshments. Adult tickets start at £7.20 when bought in advance for this Sunday.

Racing fans can also get their hands on a special ‘Weekend of Lincolnshire Racing’ package … a joint ticket for Brocklesby Point to Point on Saturday and Tattersalls admission to Super Sunday. Joint tickets are £22.50 when bought in advance, a saving of £9 on the gate prices.

The Brocklesby Point to Point is within Brocklesby Park, just off the A18 near Humberside Airport. The course is set in beautiful parkland and is an ideal day out for all the family. Races have been run there since 1958. The first race is at 12 noon and the last race at 4.30pm. There will be bookmakers, a licensed bar, refreshments and a good selection of trade stands. All races are normally three-mile steeplechases and include 18 fences.

Nadia Powell, General Manager, Market Rasen Racecourse, said:

“After two midweek meetings so far in 2018, the action steps up a notch with our opening ‘Super Sunday’ fixture of the year when we offer families great value-for-money entertainment and an exciting day out with the chance to enjoy a Sunday roast. We are also delighted to have teamed up with our friends at Brocklesby Point to Point to offer a joint ticket for two days of superb racing.”
