We have been eagerly awaiting Rick Astley's Newmarket Nights debut all summer and it sure was worth the wait!
The day kicked off with a six-race card at Newmarket's July Course and the sun was shining as the crowds gathered to watch the races. From Pimms to prosecco, coffees to teas, there was something for everyone on offer around the course and lots to do ahead of Rick's headline concert.
Rick Astley took to the stage just as the sun was setting over the picturesque racecourse. The 80s pop icon kicked off his set with a mash-up of Together Forever and Beautiful Life and went on to play all his biggest hits old and new to the delight of the Newmarket Nights crowd.
Donning a fabulous pink suit, Rick had the crowd singing and dancing all night long! Highlights included his covers of Lizzo's Juice, Rihanna's We Found Love and Rag'n'Bone Man's Giant.
Towards the end of the performance, Rick got on to his drum kit to play and sing Highway to Hell by AC/DC which had the racecourse crowd singing their hearts out!
Thank you Rick Astley and his amazing band for an incredible performance, you're welcome back any time!
