DANIEL CRAGGS ANNOUNCED AS NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF HUNTINGDON RACECOURSE

The Jockey Club today announces the appointment of Daniel Craggs as the new General Manager of Huntingdon Racecourse.

Previously Head of Corporates & Commercial at YMCA Robin Hood Group, Craggs has a very strong sport and leisure background having previously worked at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, leading the venues sales function across partnership acquisition, hospitality sales, meetings, events and income generation for the club’s charity.

Similarly, he has also gained experience within football, working at Nottingham Forest Football Club and across the club's charitable arm as Business Development Manager. He brings with him experience in project management, commercial sports management, and sponsorship as well as being a sports enthusiast.

Daniel Craggs said: "It is a privilege to be stepping into the role of General Manager at Huntingdon Racecourse.

“To manage a professional sporting venue is truly an honour, and this represents a significant milestone in my career. This leadership opportunity presents an exciting new chapter for me and a chance to further build on my extensive experience in sports and leisure.

“I am passionate about building authentic and meaningful relationships within the racing industry as well as across the local community from the outset. I look forward to doing so with pride and an enthusiasm for what Huntingdon Racecourse has to offer.”

James Wilcox, the previous General Manager, makes the move to another Jockey Club Racecourse, Epsom Downs, where he will become Operations Manager.

“Daniel brings wide-ranging skillsets to the table, and I am sure he will make a great success of his new role.
