Huntingdon Racecourse today announces the return of its hugely popular Rhino.bet Beer Festival, in partnership with Woodforde’s Brewery on Saturday 25th November.
The long-awaited event was last staged at the racecourse in 2019 and it promises to be an exhilarating day of craft beer, live music and thrilling racing.
Located in a picturesque region of Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon Racecourse is celebrated as one of Britain's most welcoming racecourses, often acknowledged as the 'Best Small Racecourse' in the South Midlands and East Anglia and has earned accolades for excellence from VisitEngland.
The venue also has a rich racing heritage, staging the prestigious Peterborough Chase each winter and playing host to some of the most successful jumps horses over the years.
Woodforde’s Brewery has been producing great tasting beer using the very best malt and hops since 1981, resulting in a wide range of beers and ales including two Supreme Champion Beers of Britain.
Named in honour of Parson James Woodforde, an 18th Century clergyman who wrote lovingly in his diaries of a love for good food and great beer, Woodforde’s brews some of the nation’s favourite beers from deep in the heart of the Norfolk Broads.
Huntingdon Racecourse will be showcasing their finest brews alongside entertainment in a purpose-built marquee on Lenton’s Lawn, providing racegoers with a taste of Woodforde’s heritage.
As well as beer and a seven-race card, the event will provide entertainment for everyone, with live music by The Mechanics throughout the day and after the action on the track has finished.
To add to the excitement, the Rhino.bet Beer Festival is hosting a ‘Name an Ale’ competition, giving beer enthusiasts the chance to submit their creative ale name ideas. Anyone wishing to take part should head to Huntingdon Racecourse’s Facebook page to stand a chance of winning a group package for their booking, which includes a complimentary round of drinks courtesy of Rhino.bet.
