The Racecard acts as the bible on any day at the races, providing racegoers will all they need to know.
Firstly, the racecard will be able to give you the timings of each race. Within each race, you will see a list of the runners and jockeys. You will see the horse's name, colourful silks worn by the jockeys and their allocated number.
The racecard will also include entertainment including any live music, children's activities, and parade of horses.
To be in with the chance of picking the winner, be certain to look out for the horse's recent form in its most recent finishing positions. This information appears in a series of numbers and some letters next to your horse’s name. A horse that hasn’t been performing well or is out of form might not be your best choice.
