GLOUCESTER BREWERY ENTERS NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HOME OF JUMP RACING

Press Release 9th November 2022 Cheltenham

Racegoers attending The November Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse this weekend (Friday 11th November – Sunday 12th November inclusive) will be able to sample the unique taste of locally-produced ales courtesy of a new partnership with Gloucester Brewery.

Founded in 2011 and based on the historic West Quay in Gloucester, Gloucester Brewery prides itself on a love of beer and a vision for creative, sustainable brewing with all of its offerings based on natural ingredients. The brewery is pledged to be carbon neutral by the end of 2022 and is already partnered with a number of environmental organisations.

Gloucester Brewery’s new partnership with Cheltenham Racecourse, which runs until 2025, will enable racegoers to enjoy the great taste of Gloucester Brewery Craft Lager or Session IPA in The Arkle Bar, Four Eighty Restaurant (at The Festival™) and Cheltenham’s Sustainability Café. In addition, the brewery will sponsor the Gloucester Brewery Handicap Hurdle at The April Meeting.

Simon Hanna, Regional Director Cheltenham & South West, Jockey Club Catering, said:

“We had been looking to enhance the experience in The Arkle Bar at Cheltenham Racecourse and what better way to do that than by partnering with locally-based Gloucester Brewery.

“Gloucester Brewery’s emphasis on producing a high-quality product on a sustainable basis sits alongside The Jockey Club’s ‘Going Green’ programme perfectly and makes this a very natural partnership.”

Jared Brown, Founder and Managing Director, Gloucester Brewery, said:

“This new venture with Cheltenham Racecourse builds on our existing partnerships with Gloucester Sport and is very much in line with our aim of doing as much business as we can in the local area. This enables us to substantially reduce our ‘beer miles’ and negate our impact on the environment as much as possible.

“Cheltenham Racecourse is Gloucestershire’s premier sporting venue and one of the most iconic sporting arenas in the world. We are proud that visitors will now be able to enjoy some of our sustainably-produced beers alongside watching the exhilarating action on the track.”
