SPARKLING SHOW TO RETURN TO CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR

Press Release 2nd November 2017 Cheltenham

The Rock, Gem and Bead Show is coming back to the prestigious venue this weekend after a successful event earlier this year.

The event, which has been running around the UK for nearly 30 years, is set to take place on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5.

Visitors will be able to find minerals, fossils, crystals, beads, jewellery and a range of other natural gemstone products.

As well as the usual exhibitors, Cheltenham Geology and Mineral Society and the Bristol Lapidary and Faceting Society will also be available to share their knowledge with visitors.

Samantha Robinson, organiser of the Rock, Gem and Bead Show, said she is thrilled the event is coming back to Cheltenham Racecourse.

“We’re really looking forward to returning to Cheltenham Racecourse after such a successful time in February,” Samantha said.

“There will be so much going on throughout the weekend with a whole host of stalls set up for visitors to browse around.

“This is a very exciting event, especially with the addition of the Cheltenham and Bristol geological societies which we hope will bring more enthusiasts to what promises to be a great couple of days.”

It is expected that around 1,000 people will turn out over the weekend to see what is on offer.

Lee Moulson, Regional Head of Sales at Cheltenham Racecourse, added: “We are so pleased to be hosting this event for the second time this year after the success of the previous exhibition.

“This is a really fun event and we look forward to another great turnout over what promises to be a fantastic weekend.”

The Rock, Gem and Bead Show will be open between 10am and 4pm both days and guests who visit on Saturday will receive free entry on the Sunday.

Entrance costs £4.50 for adults, £2 for seniors and £1 for those aged eight to 16, with under eights going free.
