Are you joining us for our Season Finale? Race Night Featuring Hunter Chase Racing.

Blog 1st May 2019 Cheltenham

Just two days until Cheltenham Racecourse’s season finale: Race Night Featuring Hunter Chase Racing on Friday 3rd May, and what a fantastic season it’s been!

We’ve seen Altior break records by achieving 19 unbeaten performances over fences as well as notching up his second win in the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase at The Festival™ presented by Magners. Hazel Hill made headlines on the final day of The Festival with an extraordinary win in the St James’s Place Foxhunter Chase, and we hope to see him back in action this Friday in the Timico Mixed Open Gold Cup Final Hunters’ Steeple Chase at the Home of Jump racing.

Start your May Day bank holiday weekend early and join us for an evening of Hunter Chase racing, a firm local favourite. Cheltenham’s only evening fixture and a time for amateur riders and trainers to compete for the ultimate dream of winning at the Home of Jump racing with seven fiercely fought Hunter chases over distances expected to range from an extended two miles to four miles.

It’s an ideal time for families, friends and works colleagues to let their hair down and have fun. Gates open at 3:30pm, so enjoy affordable racing before the sun goes down. Promising to be a great way to end the season, amateur jockeys are given a chance to shine on the racecourse, with the first race beginning at 5.05pm.
