Enhanced Car Parking

After the challenges posed by last year’s exceptional weather, we are making a significant investment in improving our car parking facilities to ensure smoother access and convenience for all guests, regardless of the conditions. In year one, this will be installing increased trackway which equates to 17 football pitches to help keep you moving. To help us improve traffic management, car parking spaces will be limited and all parking will need to be booked in advance.

Transport Initiatives & Traffic Management

In order to help to alleviate traffic congestion around the racecourse, we've partnered with National Express to offer coach travel from over 20 pick-up locations, doubling the number of coaches running. Additional Park & Ride options are being introduced, offering over 1000 extra off-site car parking spaces. Stagecoach Raceday Shuttles will be running 84 Shuttles between the racecourse, the town centre and the rail station, which can now be booked in advance allowing an easier and more efficient journey for you to get to and from the racecourse.

Increased Staffing and training

To provide a seamless arrival experience, we will have dedicated members of the team on the surrounding roads and within the car parks to direct and assist you from the moment you arrive.

Move around with your drink

We've made changes to our existing policy to make it easier for you to enjoy drinks on the go and in a wider variety of places, so you never miss a moment of the action.

Racemakers

We're introducing a new team of ‘Racemakers’ - dedicated individuals trained to help you make the most of your day, wherever you need guidance and help.

Upgrading Bar Facilities

To enhance the experience for racegoers we are investing in several of our bars, offering more seating and options. We will be commencing the upgrade with investment in the Main Grandstand, with the Winged Ox Bar and the Betting Hall facility being prioritised. These two areas will become a Sports Bar style space.

Meal Deals

To help racegoers find food and beverages at all price points while on site, a ‘Meal Deal’ concept has been introduced. There will be a selection of hot and cold food options accompanied with a drink available across our retail outlets and a cold meal deal at our coffee shops.

The Cross Country Course

The Cheltenham Racecourse cross country course is back open for business! The annual (or 3 times a year) pilgrimage over to the centre of the course is back this season. Its an amazing experience to get up close to the action and see legendary horses like Tiger Roll, Balthazar King and Delta Work. Please note that bad weather or ground concerns may prevent you from crossing the course, this will be communicated on the day.

Extend your day

Enjoy extra time at the racecourse and enjoy additional entertainment spaces across the venue offering a wider variety of music. Ensuring the fun continues for longer after the final race while helping to ease congestion.

Helping you on your way

To ensure a smoother journey home, we've extensively reviewed our traffic management plan. We’re also expanding our ‘Love Our Turf’ initiative to provide more help and guidance as you leave the racecourse as well as upgrading our signage and lighting so that exiting is easier.
