From 1969 to 1983 I was a Committee member of the Lockerbie Horse Trials which was run on the family farm at White Hill.

My children had ponies or horses throughout their youth, ably assisted by my late wife, Janet. Hunter Trials, hunting and Point to Pointing was also very much part of our family life.
